An invitation to join us for significant events during Lent 2018 as we journey towards Holy Week and Easter

Ash Wednesday – 14th February 2018
12.00 noon – joining with our friends at Midge Hall for an Ash Wednesday service, followed by refreshments, to mark the start of Lent – led by Deacon Ellen

24 Hours of Lenten Prayer and Fasting
Sunday 18th February to Monday 19th February including 6.30p.m. evening service on Sunday 18th, with communion 8.30p.m. morning prayer on Monday 19th 12.00 noon prayer on Monday 19th (all in the worship centre)

Wednesdays at 12.00 Noon
From 21st February, following the Lent series for Sunday mornings – ’40 stories of Hope’ – we will have a weekly half-hour service in the worship centre on Wednesdays (then why not stay for lunch at the Community Cafe)

We have another resource for Lent available for those who wish to be part of a group, based on the film ‘I, Daniel Blake’, looking at issues of poverty and injustice in our society today. Would you like to be a part of a group exploring this five-part series? A group could meet during the day over coffee, or during an evening. Sundays 11th, 18th, 25th March 2018, 4.00 – 5.30p.m. Three Sunday afternoon gatherings for all who are interested in membership at Leyland Methodist Church. Come to as many as you can, as we look to make new members on Easter Sunday 2018.
