Please pray for all those you know in any way who are suffering at this time whether physically, mentally or spiritually. Pray that each individual will feel strengthened and sustained by an awareness of God’s loving presence with them and that they may each receive the care and treatment they need. Please pray for all those who are concerned about family members and friends in difficult situations and pray that they will be given strength and wisdom in any decisions they need to make.
Please pray for our church here at LMC, for our minister Gill, the Leadership team, the stewards and circuit stewards and all those who contribute to our fellowship and worship at LMC. Pray that each person who attends our services will feel a welcome and a sense of fellowship with us. Pray too for all our churches throughout the circuit and for the congregations attending each place.
Pray for all our ministers and local preachers and worship leaders as they lead and prepare for worship each week.
Pray especially for the special services and events which will be taking place throughout Holy Week. Pray that this will be a time for us all to reflect and draw closer to God as we approach Good Friday and then the celebration of Easter Sunday.
Pray for churches of all denominations throughout our town and country as they all share the same message of Easter. Pray for the Church of England and for the newly appointed Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally. Pray for God’s blessing on her ministry in this role and for her to receive support and encouragement throughout her ministry.
Please pray for all troubled areas of our world and for all those affected by warfare and violence. Pray that peaceful solutions may still be sought after and pray for those in positions of power and influence, that they may use this wisely and with integrity. Pray for the most vulnerable people in war zones, those unable to care for themselves or their families, those injured in mind or body and the children who have never known a peaceful childhood or way of life. Pray for refugees who have had to leave homelands behind and try to seek a safer place to live and raise their families.
At Easter time please pray especially for those who are living in parts of he world where they still face persecution because of their belief. Pray for them to keep strong in their faith and pray that one day they will be able to worship openly and freely. Pray for ourselves too, that we may never take for granted our privilege to worship together.
