Please continue to pray for all those known to you in our church family and in your own family and circle of friends who are in need of healing. Pray for those in hospital, those recovering in nursing homes or their own homes. Pray for those awaiting treatment or appointments for a diagnosis, that they may not be anxious about the future. Pray too for those who care for others in their time of need, asking for strength and patience for them. Please pray for all who work in our health services in any way, for their own wellbeing under what can be challenging conditions. Please also remember and pray for all the many areas of the world where health care is difficult to access or may not be affordable to many. Pray for organisations such as Mission Aviation Fellowship which flies medical supplies and transports people to hospital from areas difficult to access other than by air. Please pray for our minister Gill and her family, for their health and wellbeing.
Pray for God’s blessing to continue on Gill’s ministry. Please also pray for our Chorley and Leyland District and for the Worship Strategy questionnaire. Pray that people will respond positively and with understanding of the current difficulty of having too few ministers to provide worship at each of our churches every week. Pray for the local preachers and worship leaders who give of their time and talents to support our ministers and also for the leadership teams and stewards of each church. Pray for all the congregations of our churches asking that we may all provide a welcoming and safe place for our communities.
Pray for the leaders and government of our country in this time of uncertainty. Pray that those who have been elected to positions of authority and influence will use this wisely and with integrity. Pray for all countries throughout the world, for their leaders and especially for areas affected by warfare and unrest. Pray for wisdom for those who seek ways to bring peace and for all the many who suffer as a result of the violence that is still ongoing.
Please pray for the children and young people in our local schools and colleges, especially those who are sitting GCSE and A level exams at this time. Pray that they may be able to give of their best without undue pressure or worries. Pray too for their parents and teachers who are supporting them. Please pray for all who work in education in any capacity whether in school, college or university. Pray for those who provide home schooling for their children, that they will receive the support they need. Please also pray for children who find school difficult for any reason, those who struggle to cope, and those who experience bullying of any kind. Pray for Christians throughout the world that they can be a positive influence in their homes, their work places and among their friends, by their words and actions. Pray for Christians who live in countries where they still experience persecution because of their beliefs. Pray that God will continue to strengthen and watch over them and that one day they may be able to worship freely and meet openly.
