Please pray for the family and friends of Ken Stazicker who died peacefully in his sleep earlier this week. Pray for God’s comforting presence to surround all who have suffered bereavements recently.

Please pray for all those who you know, in our church family, in your own family and groups of friends, who are suffering in any way at this time whether physically, mentally or spiritually. Pray for healing where this is appropriate and for all to receive the treatment, care and advice that they need in their situation.

Please pray for all who work in our hospitals, care homes, surgeries and clinics and those who work in the community. Pray for their own health and wellbeing as they carry out their duties. Pray too for famy members and friends who act as carers for others, that they will remain safe and strong.

Please pray for our church and for the churches throughout the circuit. Pray for the ministry teams and the local preachers as they lead worship throughout this season of Advent. Pray that the message of Advent will be help us all as we approach Christmas. Please pray for all the special events which take place at this time of year and for those who plan and lead them.

Pray for our local community of Leyland and area and for all those who may feel lonely or neglected by others. Pray for the homeless and those sleeping on our streets in wintry conditions. Pray for those who are hungry and those depending on Food Banks for enough to eat. Pray for those who have problems with finance or employment concerns and for those who have relationship problems.

Pray that we may all be prompted to help others in some way, either with support for a charity or with a gift to a child or adult who may otherwise have none.

Pray for all those who work in organisations which reach out to help others in many ways.

Please pray for all those in Hong Kong who have lost family members or friends in the fire which destroyed blocks of flats there. Pray for those who are still reported missing and for the many people living in evacuation shelters. Pray too for the search and rescue teams working in difficult conditions that they will be safe.

Pray for all areas of the world which are suffering from adverse weather conditions and other natural disasters. Pray for those working to find solutions to help ease the effects of climate change.

Please pray for all parts of the world affected by war and conflict. Pray for peace to be negotiated by the leaders of these countries and pray for all those who have suffered from the loss of loved ones, those who have been injured physically or mentally and all those who live in fear and anxiety

Please pray for Christians in places where they still face persecution and imprisonment. Pray that they will be strengthened in their faith and that they will be able to worship freely one day as we are privileged to do. Pray that they will feel God’s presence with them encouraging and sustaining them.
